What I’ve learned from a one year old pup named Oliver
*Patience can be achieved, I’m actually ashamed by my lack of patience on a daily basis when I see him execute his so well.
*Throwing attitude around because you are a strong, independent dog, who wants things their own way is a thing. But it’s also called meeting someone halfway.
*If you want someones attention take their socks or just follow them around until they acknowledge you.
*Silence is an answer, just use your expressive eyes.
*Being loud is also an answer, let them hear you if you really have something to say
*Listening to your mom isn’t always easy, but listening to the male figure in your life is something you don’t fuck with.
*Taking your collar off after a long day feels great.
*Mountains, fresh air, food and water are life
*There’s a fine line between being obsessed and crazed. Learning how to change gears is essential.
*Sharing is caring
*Sometimes you just need your own space to lay in the grass and sunshine in order to contemplate life.
*Seeing your loved ones is awesome, it should be appreciated more often.
*The simple things are amazing, like sleeping on the couch, getting a box in the mail, or having a tasty treat.
*Just like under armour… we’ve got to protect this house. Which means that Oliver needs to make sure we know there are noises or people who need to be acknowledged. Or you have me trying to cook breakfast while avoiding putting on pants and some stranger comes to the door. You can leave our personal bubble now, bye.
*Cuddling while napping is actually prime.
*Sibling rivals are going to happen no matter what… cat vs. dog on a regular basis. I don’t see a difference between how they act vs how my sister and I acted. I was the annoying little sister, she didn’t want to hang out, and we would get in fights.
*Everyone needs a little help; in the kitchen, bathroom, on the couch, in the car, outside; whatever, support is a nice thing.
*Repetition is necessary.
*You don’t actually need an alarm clock.
*Dogs make just as good of companies as humans, if not better.
